Volunteers Needed

We are a Head Start Grantee

Head Start relies on volunteers to assist with program needs. Classroom volunteers can read to children in their home language, play outside with them, or help prepare for special activities. Volunteers can help teachers by preparing materials, cleaning toys, and restocking art supplies.

Volunteers help with In-Kind Donations! Twenty percent of our funding money must be matched through donations. These donations are called In-Kind Donations. Volunteers are important because the time they contribute has an assigned dollar value. This allows volunteer hours to count towards the In-Kind Donations.

You can visit ECLKC - Early Childhood Learning & Knowledge Center for more information specific to Head Start and Early Head Start.

We have the potential to host paid and unpaid internships for education positions. Paid interns would need to commit for the school year, not just a semester.

To apply for an internship, we request that applicants submit a cover letter and resume with a copy of an unofficial transcript directly to the HR Department (contact information below) no later than 30 days prior to starting.

All applicants for internship will be required to take a TB test and pass a criminal background check. If the applicant has had a TB test in the last 12 months, results can be attached to the resume.
